Creative Ping Pong Collaboration

To further our creativity and collaborative skills, I was paired with Chris Mortan to create a cover design based on a shared interest.

CD Cover

Ideas Setlist

Chris and I decided to create a CD cover for our collaboration and looked through each other’s music playlists. At the time, I was listening to INFERNO by Sub Urban and Bella Poarch while Chris was listening to Stevie Wonder’s Fulfillingness’ First Finale album, and we realized both album covers had similar color palettes. We took both covers to Adobe Colors and decided to combine both palettes to create our design.

Assets and Programs

The collaboration challenge was that we had a day to add elements to our chosen program, Adobe Illustrator, and send the draft to our partner for the next day, asking for six iterations by the end of the week. Chris decided that I would take the first, third, and fifth day, while he would take the second, fourth, and sixth day, and make a mockup model of the CD. We also exchanged each other’s music setlists for extra motivation and charm.
